In the fall of 2019, I was invited to join Grace Sullivan’s LIFE Group and I was a bit skeptical at first. I was a freshman in college, and it seemed to be a daunting task to open up and connect with new women after leaving my small group from high school just a few months prior. The first night I went in feeling both a little awkward and uncomfortable, not knowing what to expect. Once we got settled and began our conversation on the sermon, I was immediately blown away. I sat in a room full of women who were eager to read, discuss, and pray the Word of God. By God’s grace, He's allowed me to experience what it means to faithfully encourage one another and spur on one another. Over the following months, the Lord used this LIFE Group to grow me in my faith through our conversations, prayers, and the testimonies of the Lord at work in the lives of the other women.er on in living for Him and His Kingdom (Hebrews 10:24). Some of the biggest ways I have seen the Lord at work in this group is the weekly commitment to prayer for one another and how we may live lives that reflect the love Christ has shown us (Romans 5:8). As a group, there have been occasions where we faithfully pray for something specific, and then in joy, that person has been able to come back to the group the following week and tells us that the prayer has been answered! It’s not always how we may have answered it – thanks be to God that’s not the case all the time – but through His grace, He gives us eyes to see the answered prayer. I praise the Lord for this LIFE Group and how He has used it to focus my mind, not on things seen but rather unseen (2 Corinthians 4:18).
