Josue and Laura Perez

We were delighted to learn The Orchard would be opening a location in Northfield. We had family who attended The Orchard Arlington Heights, where Lilly completed Awana, thanks to her grandparents. We visited The Orchard many times throughout the years and always appreciated Pastor Colin’s biblical teaching. We began attending The Orchard Northfield when the doors opened. We immediately benefited from hearing God’s Word, and Lilly built strong relationships with her youth group peers and leaders.

For years, I (Josue) felt God nudging me to get better connected to the church, but I made no effort. Last year God presented the opportunity to use my professional background to serve the church; I could no longer ignore God’s nudging. Shortly after I started serving, the opportunity for Laura to serve with the youth group arose. Laura was reluctant to add another responsibility, but she took a leap of faith. After a few months of service, it became clear we were overdue for making a commitment to church membership. We participated in the membership class where we were reminded of the many reasons why we appreciate The Orchard and its commitment to accomplishing God’s work. We are glad to be a part of this church and are ready to let God use us wherever he leads us.
