On the morning of our trip overseas to visit family during the Christmas holidays, we discovered that our water heater was leaking; we were out of hot water in our house. We made a few calls and all the major stores, knowing that we were in a time crunch, quoted a hefty price tag to replace it. We knew that we had to get it fixed before we came back on New Year’s Eve. The temperature would be freezing outside and our family with little children would suffer without hot water, especially after a long flight home.
We made a call to brothers in our LIFE Group asking for help. They quickly stepped up and took charge of the whole situation and assured us they would help replace it while we were away. After being picked up at the airport by a brother in our LIFE Group, we found our group to be true to their word as we found a new water heater up and running at home. One of the brothers took charge of blowing all the snow and having the driveway clear for us when we got home. We are very grateful to God for placing us in the loving fellowship of His saints who gladly helped us in our time of need! This LIFE group is our family away from home. There is enthusiasm and eagerness to open the Word, study and grow in Him as we gather together.
