Harvest events are designed to be opportunities for Christians to invite unsaved family members, coworkers, friends, neighbors, and acquaintances to hear the life-changing message of the Gospel in an environment that is entertaining, yet non-threatening. How can you get involved?
Pray
Pray for family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors who you want to see come into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Pray that their hearts will be opened to the gospel message, that the Lord will reach them through the preaching of His Word, and that they will respond to the invitation to receive Christ as Lord and Savior and commit their lives to Christ.
Invite
Invite those you have been praying for to attend the Chicago Harvest event on September 24, 25, or 26.
Bring
Bring those you have invited to the event. They're much more likely to attend if they don't have to go alone.
Pulpit Swap
The Orchard participated in a pulpit swap with Christ Bible Church of Chicago on Sunday, August 8. Pastor James Ford, Jr. preached in the sanctuary at the Arlington Heights Campus and Pastor Colin preached at Christ Bible Church. The pulpit swap is to help bring unity among Chicagoland churches who are participating in the Chicago Harvest event in September. Read the article from the Daily Herald.
