In Luke 15, Jesus teaches a parable about another man who is filled with compassion. This is the familiar parable of the Prodigal Son. Read Luke 15:11-32.
Come up with questions from the text like we did on Monday and see if this technique helps you.
To follow up on those questions you have come up with from the text consider this question of application:
Which son can you relate to?
- Are you one who has wandered far from God and need to return home? Know that when you return, God will be filled with compassion. Or maybe you have already returned but failed to comprehend the compassion God was filled with for you.
- Are you the son who is bitter because of God’s compassion? Repent and be thankful for God’s loving kindness and rejoice with him when sinners come home.
