Awana Clubs
Awana stands for Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed, taken from its key verse in the Bible, II Timothy 2:15. The primary aim of Awana is to reach boys and girls and their families with the good news of Christ and train and disciple them in the Christian life.
Each club meeting is divided into three segments: game time where children are drawn to the club and learn sportsmanship; handbook time where children recite verses that they have memorized and pass other sections such as crafts and Bible reading; and counsel time where children sing and are instructed from the Bible and challenged with the message of good news by various speakers.
